Strong architectural features determined the design composition of this Cotswolds townhouse kitchen. With an emphasis on blending functionality with elegance, a Calacatta Oro porcelain worktop and metalised bronze lacquered island combine to form the centre piece for the design. As an embodiment of the client’s contemporary taste and in contrast with traditional elements in the home, our bi-fold pocket door mechanism transforms a functional space into modern living in one movement.
The American Black Walnut veneer, which was hand crafted for the internals of each unit, brings richness and balance against the lighter tones of the lacquered doors. Made to measure cutlery dividers ensure that every inch of the furniture is utilised.
Calacatta Oro, a luxurious white marble effect porcelain with subtle gold veining, was selected for the worktop and bespoke double sink. The captivating polished aesthetic of the stone enhances the classical elements of the design.
Solid knurled smoked bronze handles were chosen for the traditional furniture in the kitchen. With an exterior conveying traditional style and interiors incorporating modern larder storage systems, the kitchen becomes multifunctional yet stylish.
